Ice Skating Rink Installed at Peter Igo Park

Kids of all ages can skate on a safe surface this winter thanks to The Marshfield Tennis Club and Game On Sports who reinstalled the ice rink at the park this year. A new liner was purchased this year as vandalism destroyed the original liner last year. The ice rink is just part of volunteer efforts to improve the town-owned property, which provides a recreational area for the Brant Rock/Green Harbor section of town. Cold weather froze the rink solid and lighting at the rink allows for both day and evening skating. Bud Duksta, Chairman of the Peter Igo Park Initiative and Marshfield Tennis Club President, is hearing from residents and “they are thrilled!”
